Happy last day of the work week everyone!  I am stoked that its finally the weekend.  I am having my yard sale tomorrow and then I am hoping to get a little R&R at my Goodwill.  I might even make it to Anthropologie this weekend.  Found some fun things to look at below.  Do you follow me on Pinterest?  Lots to love on there...

Chick Fil A Cows and a Garage Sale

Tonight I am doing the rain dance here my fellow neighbors hoping that we can get  a couple of drops anywhere here in Colorado.  It has been stinkin hot! Most of the state is literally on fire.  Our little slice of heaven is safe.

Today was bike to work day.  It a statewide effort to not use fuel for the day.  Of course I participated.  No I didn't just go because there was free Chick Fil A.  I went for the coupons.  Just kidding.   I want to save the environment.  Thats it.  I'm green.  Alot of internal chuckles going on right now...

Anyway if you know me you know that I am deathly afraid of people in mascot outfits.  I rode my bike threw several sprinklers this morning only to drive up to the tent with free breakfast and a giant Chick Fil A cow greeting me and attempting to hug me.  Hell no.  Excuse my french. I shook my body and screamed IM SCARED... leave me alone... it shook its head and walked away.  Im sorry but I dont know who is under that outfit and I dont want a hug.

So after my breakfast I rolled up to work and then home. I am prepping for a small garage sale on Saturday.  We have some clothes to get rid of, a couple pieces of odd furniture, and then some kitchen this and thats.  I am finding all of kinds of stuff that I forgot that I had.  Take this salad bowl for instance... no idea where it came from but it prompted me to make myself a really nice salad and use some left overs up.  Heyyyy win! Win!

As I find everything I am pricing it cheap so it can go fast and I don't have to sit outside and push my items onto other people.   They will just roll up and think they are at the Goodwill 50% off Saturday.  That's what I am talking about!

Look I even found my laptop from college under the couch.  I am writing from it tonight in the kitchen, at the bar, where I never sit.  Random.  Ill keep you posted on how the sale goes on Saturday.

A day in the water with Ole Chadwick

I had a good weekend.  Today is Monday and it is well... Monday.  I tagged along with Chad to the Big Thompson over the weekend because I wanted a nice piece of driftwood to put in our front flower bed now that the devil plants have been recycled.  I didn't find the driftwood but I made a fun little Chipmunk friend.

That's right.  I called them that.  Devil Plants.  They took over our front bed, sucked all the life out of the other plants, and broke our dumb shovel.

Chad and I waited until the temperature dropped to ohhhhhhhhh 90 degrees last night and got to work annihilated those beasts.

It gets better.  Chad then went back to Lowes (we already went once to get another shovel so we could dig the remainder of the devil plants out) and brought this back for me...

Only because I have been complaining about my then current garden because all my good soil kept oozing out of the bottom...


Notice all the sand at the edge.... Yuck.

 I was so excited I woke up at 5:30 this morning and he got up and put it together for me.  Bahahha.  Lurve him.

 I am all over the clearance plants at Lowes today.  I might get outside tonight and plant them... Show ya laterz.

I found these scrump snacks on Pinterest.  Have I told you that I have lost around 10 pounds? Maybe more.  I'm not keeping up with it as well I should...  It's not the 25 that I was hoping to have lost a month ago but its at least 10 that has stayed off.

I weighed out 10 pounds of Pyrex so we can put a visual to how much that actually is.

I need to lose a couple more bowls. Heh.

What I love today.

It's hard to nail what I lurve down to one thing today.  Of course I love my dog.  I love his new vet that swore to me he would fix his ear infection today.  I love Chad, at least I did most of the day... I love that I made it to my work out today.  I love my rosemary that is growing in my pots.  I love the rabbit that dug up my garden.  I love the rotten milk that I just poured more than half the jug down the sink.  I love that my house is clean today thanks to All Star Cleaners! But what do I love the mostest?!?!?!?!

All of the children's books that I have been finding at Goodwill!

Last night I hit the jackpot when it came to Caldecott winners. At 99 cent each I got all of the ones that I could find.  Some even had the library reference card in them still... Amazing.  Why would a library get rid of such great books!

Do you have a favorite from when you were a kid?  The Polar Express always reminds me of my dad... he loves trains...
